Expectant Parents

Are you expecting a baby?

Whether this is your first baby or you’re an experienced mom, our Home-Based Expectant Mothers program provides expecting families support and education through the arrival of your new family member. Expectant mothers and Family Educators work together 2 – 4 times a month.

Family Educators will provide education on prenatal nutrition and health, preparation for baby’s arrival, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, child development, self-esteem and self-sufficiency, and career and childcare planning. Once your baby arrives, you have the option of continuing with our Early Head Start Program in either the Home-Based or Center-Based option.

Curriculum

The Home-Based program uses the Partners for a Healthy Baby Curriculum.
Family Educators use this researched-based guidance to help families plan a healthy pregnancy and support the family as they grow together over their baby’s first 3 years of life.
